Nearly 30 people from local food, drink, and related businesses came together at our latest People Planet Profit event on Wednesday 5 March to learn about marketing sustainability in a genuine and authentic way.
The day started with an exploration of sustainability as a selling point for food and drink brands led by Julia Kirby-Smith (Better Food Traders). This was followed by an introduction to using PR to spotlight sustainable businesses led by Harry Hook (RAW Food and Drink PR). The final part of the day took the form of a digital marketing workshop delivered by Lisa Lessware (Digital Link) which addressed SEO fundamentals, utilising product feeds, and using AI to streamline marketing.
Throughout the day, there were discussions on a range of marketing- and suitability-related topics and plenty of opportunity for likeminded businesses to connect.
In the coming months, we intend to capture the insights from each of our People Planet Profit events in a more condensed, accessible format for food and drink businesses to use as a resource. In the meantime, the detailed notes and slides from the event are available below.
